Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Have 50 percent Fake Instagram Followers

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) has conducted a global study on celebrities, according to reports. This study now states that celebrities, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone, have on their social media as many as false supporters or ‘ bots. ‘

The assessment indicated that with a huge 48 percent of false supporters, Deepika Padukone, who presently has 37.9 million supporters on Instagram, is on the sixth place on the list.

While with 46 percent of false supporters, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who presently has 43.6 million supporters on Instagram, is on the tenth place.

ICMP mentioned in a statement: 

“We took various’ most successful’ and’ most followed’ to construct our list of celebrities across personalities from acting, sport, music, and TV. Then we filtered this through the number of supporters to give us the top 100 most followed list. We then ran their Instagram and Twitter handles through IG Audit and Sparktoro’s fake Twitter follower’s tool to measure what percentage of their following was actually real.”


With 58 percent of her 75.6 million supporters reported to be fake, Ellen DeGeneres topped the list, followed by K-Pop band BTS with 48 percent of their 19.4 million supporters not true. Also discovered to be fake was Kourtney Kardashian’s 49 percent of 80.7 million supporters.

Kim Kardashian, who has 143.6 million supporters, and Khloe, who has 96 million supporters, both have 44 percent, fake supporters. With 30 percent of the 140.3 million supporters categorized as false, Kylie Jenner also made it to the list.
