In a heartfelt press conference on Monday in Mumbai, Indian cricket team player Yuvraj Singh announced the end of his cricket career. Yuvraj held Monday’s press conference and confirmed his withdrawal from all competitive cricket kinds.

The cricket world is saddened after hearing the large announcement and the internet is flooding with heartfelt emails of congratulations for the cricket legend.

  1. Yuvraj was born on the 12th day of the 12th month of the 1981 year in Chandigarh’s 12 Sector hospital. It is thus no wonder why his lucky number & jersey number is 12.

  1. As a child, Yuvraj loved roller-skating very much. He actually won the National Championship of U-14 Roller Skating. But his dad, Yograj Singh advised his son to concentrate on cricket. Yuvraj was a nice tennis player too. But the sacrifice that ordered him to follow cricket had to be both his love.

  1. Yuvraj wasn’t a good cricketer during learning age. In fact, Navjot Singh Sidhu gave up hope on him when he was training him during the early days.
  2. Yuvraj took part in films in Punjabi. In Mehndi Sajda Di and Putt Sardara, he played two short roles as a child star. He even gave the Bollywood animated movie Jumbo his voice.
  3. Yuvraj is renowned for his great sense of humor. He is also known as a prankster in the Indian dressing room.

  4. When he was young, he had accidentally shot his friend in the stomach with an air gun. His adventures had started very early.
  5. Yuvraj gave his first autograph at the age of 17!
  6. Yuvraj is the only Indian cricketer after the legend, Sachin Tendulkar, to have been signed by the English county-Yorkshire, an honor a few overseas players are bestowed upon till now.
