PUBG Mobile, or Player Unknown’s Mobile Battlegrounds, is a game that takes place once in a generation. The Battle Royale game also has a huge fan following in India, having just lately hit 400 million downloads on iOS and Android reaching a milestone of 50 million active daily users. It is the 2nd most downloaded app on iOS, now even on YouTube, and has been downloaded from Android 2.5 million times.
PUBG Mobile just finished the 2019 PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) national finals on the 14th and 15th at Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi. The Indian PUBG Mobile Team, Team SouL, won the competition after a few hard-fought battles to become India’s Spring Split segment champions.
With a complete score of 254, Team Soul led by Naman Mathur was able to clinch a last-minute win over Blackhorse Team IND. Team Indian Tigers who had the most chicken meals in the tournament kept the third position. Their win also enabled them to pick up a $60,000 check as the winning prize cash along with tickets to Berlin where they will represent India in the PMCO Global finals.

The winners of the second and third location also got Rs. 0.95 lakh and Rs 12.9 lakh, respectively, in addition to the winning squad. One can claim it was as insane a finale as the cricket game between India and Pak. All the focus was on Team IND and Team Soul as both teams were able to become the Indian Champions. The final match was intense and full of emotions for Team Soul and their fans.
Recently, Vivo, the PMCO 2019 official sponsor, improved the award pool from $2 million to $2.5 million. The smartphone manufacturer also supplied players and fans with the Vivo Z1 Pro during both tournament breaks.
The PMCO 2019 Spring Split started on March 22 and more than 35,000 teams from around the world are competing for an opportunity to win the prize pool of $2.5 million.
PUBG Mobile also introduced a fresh update with Deathmatch mode, Godzilla theme lobby, activities, and awards, extra tailored and customized gamers configurations, and improved cheat behavior detection.
Within 10 days, an all-new Weapons Mastery scheme will drop the June console update. This includes 10 mastery levels where 10 levels are included in each level. So, in total, to achieve full mastery, each weapon will have 100 levels. The console update will also introduce updated controls and a fresh preset setting for the controller.
